Inventory management software for shops in Nigeria

Know what is in your shop. Know what needs restocking.

TruKonta helps Nigerian retailers record stock, sell items and see what is left, without a separate stock notebook. Every sale takes the items out of stock as it is recorded, so your sales and your stock always agree.

The everyday problem

Stock should not be a guessing game

When stock lives in one notebook and sales in another, shortages show up late. You reorder an item you still have, miss a fast seller, or count the shelf and wonder why it does not match what you expected.

TruKonta keeps stock and selling in one place. The product list you sell from is the same list that tells you how many are left.

An illustrative example

Example: checking stock before a trip to the supplier

A made-up business, to show how it works. Not a customer story.

A neighbourhood provision store sells all day, and before the market closes the owner wants to know what to buy. The useful answer is not only what sold, but what is left and which fast sellers are close to their low-stock level.

Different shops need different depth. A supermarket or provision store sells cartons and pieces, a pharmacy tracks expiry dates by lot, a boutique counts every size and colour and a wholesaler sells the same stock to many buyers. Each has its own page.

What you can do

One app for the whole job.

See every product and how many are left

Keep a list of what you sell with quantities, cost and selling price, and check stock at any point in the day.

Spot items running low

Set a low-stock level on a product and TruKonta flags it before a customer asks for something you no longer have.

Know the profit behind each item

Record what you paid and what you sell for, and see the margin on every item, not just the sales total.

Go deeper when you need to

From Starter: sizes and colours, carton-and-piece selling, expiry dates and stock counts. From Growth: stock in more than one branch, and transfers between them.

How it works

How a shop uses TruKonta to manage stock

An example of the everyday routine. What you see depends on your plan.

  1. Add your products

Add items one at a time or bring your list in from a spreadsheet. Lite holds up to 50 products; Starter and above have no limit.

  2. Record stock coming in

When goods arrive, add them to stock. Buying by the carton is normal, so record the carton and sell by the piece.

  3. Sell from the same list

Pick the items at the counter, or scan the barcode with your phone camera. The sale takes them out of stock as it is recorded.

  4. Check what is low

Look at the items flagged as low before you plan your next trip to the market or your supplier.

  5. Count and correct

From Starter, run a stock count. TruKonta shows what is missing or extra, so you can find out why.

Good to know

Already have a POS terminal?

That terminal helps a customer pay you. TruKonta records what was sold, what left your stock and how the business is doing. Keep the terminal from your bank or payment provider and use TruKonta alongside it.

Who it helps

Who this is for

Provision stores, supermarkets, cosmetics and beauty-product sellers, phone and accessory shops, household-goods and building-materials shops, and small wholesalers: any business that sells physical products. TruKonta does not process card payments; your bank or payment provider still does that.

Good to know

Questions, answered plainly.

Does my stock go down when I record a sale?

Yes. Every sale takes the items out of stock as it is recorded. Your stock and your sales are one record, not two books to match up at night.

Can I bring in my existing product list?

Yes, on every plan. Import your products from a spreadsheet, or add them one at a time. Lite holds up to 50 products; Starter and above have no limit.

Does TruKonta warn me when stock is low?

Yes, on every paid plan. Set the level for each product and TruKonta flags it when stock falls to that level.

Can I track stock in more than one branch?

Yes, on Growth (up to 3 branches) and Business (up to 5). Each branch keeps its own stock, and you record a transfer when goods move between them.

What happens when there is no network?

Selling and stock keep working. Everything runs from data on the device, and it all syncs the moment a signal returns.
